Getting started again

I am finally starting to revamp up my Stampin Up business again.   It is so hard after being on deployment and coming home to reconnect with friends and family.  I have struggled so much, it makes it very hard to get motivated.  I have had a couple of my faithful stamping customers pushing me to start up.  I have been blog hopping for creative ideas.  I have lost my confidence in my abilities and so was hopping for inspiration.  I found so much out in cyber space to feel overwhelmed.  I have copied lots of cards but also have tweaked some to call my own.  I hope to be able to be more consistent in creating on a weekly basis and have original works to showcase.  Here are a few cards I did for my recent open house and workshop.  Hope you enjoy.

This card uses the stamp set Sew Suite from the occasions mini catalog.  The moment I saw the set it was on my wish list.  Of course I am an avid seamstress.  This is a card I copied from a creative blog out there, I just don't remember who to give credit to.  I will get better from now on about adding links (provided I figure it out) or at least who the creater is.  The card front is embossed using the small dots texturz plates and the big shot machine.  I love the added dimension that dry embossing gives a project.  The dressmaker forms are stamped on Sunny Garden DSP and then cut out.  The color palette is Whisper White, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight.

Another copied card using the Mother of Mine stamp, Springtime Vintage DSP and the Vintage Flower Adornments.  This is my attempt at a vintage card, this trend does not come naturally to me but I do love the look.  The color palette is Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla and Always Artichoke.

This stamp set is Take a Spin, also from the occasions mini catalog.  I love how versatile this set is.  I used markers to color on the stamp, so I could use many colors.  The color palette is Real Red, Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango, all bright colors but I think they work.  This will be for Lukey's 9th birthday.  The card is so fun to play with and spin.  Great for kids or just kids at heart.

This card we made at my workshop, it uses the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die. The scallop punch and the Ice Cream Parlor DSP (which is a free choice during Sale-a-Bration)  I love the clean and simpleness of this card.   The color palette is Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Whisper White.  We sponged color on all the cardstock to give it a richer look.

This is the Bliss stamp set, also another one you can earn free during Sale-a-Bration.  I absolutely love this card, of course what is not to love about pink and browns.  I did copy this card from another but changed the color palette.  Speaking of the colors thay are Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose and Chocolate Chip.  I also used the Just Believe stamp set (one of my favorites), scallop punches, basic pearl jewels and satin ribbon.
