Tecnique and Tea Thursday

The technique I taught today was the "ghosting" one.   It is done on glossy white paper and the magic appears when you brayer the color over your stamped image.  I teach a new technique every other thursday for $5 a class.  We make a sample and do a card also.  Let me know if you are interested.

LNS Pre-convention Projects

I finally got around to finishing a project from my event I did before SU convention.  This was one of our 3D items.  I did so much I just was not able to finish everything and I didn't want to smash all my beautiful work in my suitcase.  This wall art was designed by Queen Bea.

I have this hanging on my scrapbook room door. I think it is very appropriate.

This delicious looking cake slice is all paper.  I learned how to make the roses, they take some time but are definitely worth it.  The cake looks so good I could eat it.

This cute little gift box is made using our new Natural Composition Specialty DSP and our window sheets.  The flower is made using the packing paper that comes with our orders.  Love to repurpose.

A couple of card holders and matching cards.  I love making sets to use as small gifts.

This is an explosion box.  I have never made one before and it really is not that hard.  Takes a bit of time and so I will probably offer it as a camp project.  Still I love how it turned out and really is a nice change from an ordinary birthday card or gift.  Really you could use for any occasion.

Isn't this turkey just adorable?  This project was a favorite of mine.  It is a treat holder.  I will be offering a class on her in the next few weeks.  I did not come up with the design but have permission to teach a class.  Hope you will join me.

Technique and Tea Thursday

Today's new technique is the wax paper resist.  Here is the card we made using this easy and fast technique.  Next class is the 20th, let me know if you will be coming.  Class is $5

September Stamp Club

This month the ladies made the following 4 cards.

This card uses the Postage Due stamp set.  The colors are Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Real Red, Marina Mist, and Soft Suede.  Accessories used are early espresso bakers twine and postage stamp punch.

I love the simplicty of this card.  Stamp set is Blooming with Kindness.  I also used the Delicate Designs Embossing Folders. The colors are Primrose Petals and Whisper White.   I made my own shimmer paint by combing water, rubbing alcholol, pretty in pink and regal rose rinkers and frost white shimmer paint.  The ribbon is this months special, when you place a $40 order you get a spool of the in color ribbon of your choice for free.

One of the stamp sets we were given at Convention was Daydream Medalions which I used for this card.  The colors are Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, So Saffron on naturals ivory cardstock.  I used the houndstooth embossing folder and the floral frame framelits.  I accented the center with antigue brads.

I think the simpleness of this card makes it so pretty.  The card uses Serene Silhouettes and Loving Thoughts stamp sets, First Edition specialty designer paper, scallop punch, silver brads and perfect plum taffeta ribbon.

Holiday Mini Catalog Open House

My open house for the new holiday mini was Saturday August 25th.  I had on display some examples of items I made using products in the new catalog.  There is lot of fun new items to play with.  One of my favorites is the silicone craft sheet, it makes making 3d flowers a breeze.  No more glued fingers.  I also love the bundles where you can save 15% by getting the stamp set and framelits together.  Now to my samples

If you would like instructions on how to make any of these prodects, just let me know or post a comment and I will give you the items used and directions.

Technique and Tea Thursday

This is my first in a series of bi weekly classes to learn a new technique.  The cost is $5 and you will make a technique  instructional card, and a card using that technique.  This is the card we did and I taught how to emboss glitter.
