Convention 2012 I am......

Our theme this year was I am....we were suppose to pick one word to kind of sum us up.  I am a lot of things mother, wife, soldier, daughter, kind, social, messy, organized, crafty, friend, spiritual, competitive, loyal, ect, ect.  But it took me a little while and the one word I decided on was POSITIVE.  I truly believe I try to see the good in all situations and not dwell on what could go wrong or what has.  I also believe that as we grow and mature our views change over time.  I can tell you I was not always a positive person, it is something I have worked hard at becoming.  So what is your I am...?

This year I lucked out and found a group called Late Nite Stampers.  One of the ladies was not able to go to convention this year and had to sell her  pre-convention package.  I bought it because it sounded like fun, not knowing anyone in the group.  Well it was so worth my money. I met wonderful ladies and did lots of projects even before convention started.  Let me tell you I was busy from the time I landed in Salt Lake until we left, but got so much inspiration and ideas.  A group of us decided to send each other cards every month, a snail mail swap.  Here we are minus Donna (don't know where she was) will have to get a group shot next year.

Opening session of convention was amazing as always.  It started out with the employees lip singing our new theme song.  Jason Dorsey was our key note speaker who inspired us to tap into the Gen Yers.  He was very inciteful and funny.  He compared all the generations and listed comanilaties.  I was so inspired and now will need to read a couple of his books to really make sense of my notes.   As usual convention was wonderful and all classes I took we inspiring, the beautiful projects we did, the onstage presentation, and I took and extra class with Carrie Cudney to become a pattern mixing pro.  Made me step out of my comfort zone and try new patterns and colors.   I took way to many pictures to add them all but I will post a few of my favorites.
